THE SOUTH CAROLINA VOTE RESULTS IS JUST ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF

THE BIGOTRY OF THE MAJORITY OF EVANGELICAL BAPTISTS AND

BORN AGAIN CHRISTAINS.

      January 23, 2012

No one is surprised at the vote results of South Carolina and its 65% of die hard, hard headed bigots, whose reputation goes back to 1865 at the end of the American Civil War.

They have given a resounding victory to another favored southerner, Newt Gingrich, a tried a true adulterer, who divorced his dying wife while committing adultery at the same time he led the charge to impeach a sitting president for the same adulterous conduct as he, the hypocrite, was committing, a short time later he was found guilty of financial misconduct while sitting as the Speaker of the House of Representatives, a position he was forced to resign in disgrace. This man has no moral character, ethical standards and is devoid of trust and dependability, along with the reputation of a scoundrel a carnival barker and pied piper.  These die hard southerners, shamelessly dug down to the bottom of the political barrel to choose this phony politician who, over the years, has filled his deep pockets, from the public with ill gotten money of the American taxpayers while helping no one but himself.

These South Carolina voters are the same bigots as their ancestors who are still smarting from losing the American Civil War because of their steadfast denial of freedom to their black slaves.  When freed by President Lincoln, a republican, they changed their party to democrats, in protest, and subjugated and continually denied them their freedom for the next one hundred years, upon the passage of the civil right bill by then president Johnson a democrat and courageous Texan.  Ironically, the southerners changed back to republicans as a protest to the granting of civil rights nationally to all blacks in 1963, and have remained so, since then.

This is a classic example of repeated organized bigotry by a certain section of the country just because blacks were finally granted the human rights of freedom they themselves claim and have enjoyed as American citizens since our founding fathers fought and died for it in 1776.

These are the same southerners whose preachers say that one of the fellow republican presidential candidates is not a Christian because he is a Mormon, while they, themselves are a renegade offshoot of the Catholic faith they abandoned, when Henry the Eighth, King of England, wanted to shed himself of his wife, contrary to the vows he made, "to cherish and love, until death do you part" the Catholic church considers them all excommunicated ex-believers.

The irony of it all is contained in the U. S. Constitution, under the first amendment, under "freedom of religion," which specifically states, "Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof ".  In addition, Article Six, paragraph "C" of the U. S. Constitution states, "oath of office, and no religious test".  The senators and representatives, members of the state legislature and all executive and judicial offices ---- but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification for any office or public trust in the United States of America."  Yet the hypocrite Southerners, want to use religion, alone as the test of the qualifications for a presidential office holder, in spite of the constitution.  In addition they fervently want to impose their religious beliefs and wills as to abortions and gay marriages upon the will of all the American people by law, when the constitution prohibits it, since this is a moral or religious issue.  They claim life begins at inception when the law says it begins upon birth.

They continue to say that family values are at the core of their religion, while they continually divorce their spouses at will, in violation of the vows they made when wed, "...to love honor and obey, until death do we  part."   It is reasonable to assume, those of the Catholic faith the religion they cast off conveniently, is obviously more attuned to family values.

All their republican demands for less government is nothing but a ploy to provide less government help to the unemployed, a majority of whom are black, and the infirmed masses who cannot help themselves.  The trick word is also "free enterprise" which, to them means, everyone must pull themselves up by their own boot straps or they cannot survive in their society.  As Gingrich recently said, "take a bath and get a job!"  He also said, "how come food stamps went up even though unemployment went down."  That is the Southerners' punishment for the blacks, now mostly democrats, for gaining their freedom and obtaining their civil rights enforced by the government of the United States.   The poor, infirmed and disabled are damned.

Thanks be to God, they are in the minority, otherwise, the blacks, Jews Catholics, non Protestants, the unfortunates in the United States of America and the Mormons, would be excluded and punished in their perceived, but warped society, where they are the only true Christians.

In my opinion, the "born again Christians" and their churches are the last vestiges and safe haven for the remnants of the infamous K. K. K.

WE DO NOT HAVE MUCH OF A CHOICE IN 2012

Written on October 20, 2011

What a choice we have for 2012, vote for a democrat and get a tax hike, vote for a republican and only the rich get a tax break while the rest of us suckers, pay higher taxes.

None of the "presidential want-to-be" have a good plan to put the unemployed back to work, because our democrat and republican representatives in Washington have sold out to big business who have moved their operations overseas in search of cheaper labor because the democratic backed union workers have priced our products out of the world markets.  Now, those big corporations see a chance to pay fewer taxes and higher profits at the expense of the rest of us suckers, the American people.

The republicans do not want full employment because that would make the big bad union workers stronger and as a result they can't eliminate the minimum wage law and make slaves out of us stupid Americans who keep foolishly voting for one political party and then another in disgust and disappointment only to receive more disappointment and disgust, year after year from the other party members.

At least two of the republican presidential hopefuls have gimmick tax relief plans, centered on a "flat tax" that gives the rich ten times the tax saving the middle class receive.  These plans will kill our country and lessen tax revenue.

Everyone knows we need to put Americans back into permanent good paying jobs, which have been lost overseas because of the tree trade system, but nobody has a plan to do this because they are paid by big business interests to expand the free trade system, which in truth should be eliminated in order to get the much needed jobs back here in the U. S. A.  The economy will never recover until and unless we solve the unemployment problem and have a quick alternative energy plan to control energy costs.

The national budges and debt needs to be addressed because it is so big, it is not manageable, but all the politicians say they cannot balance the budget for ten more years.  By that time we will be 25 trillion dollars in debt and the interest paid on this enormous debt will bankrupt the country.

In the meantime, most Americans stay out of the affray and leave it to others to get involved, when their vote is needed to people's plan for a real fast economic recovery in this country.  This is the people's country not that of the very representatives who have elected and re-elected to do as they please and represent everyone but the American people.

The American people need to wake up to this serious problem and take part in the solution as they must to have a country "...of the people and by the people..."  Unless the jobs problems are solved within the next year, we will lost our freedom and our country to big money and big business interests who have brought us to this state of affairs, because Americans have allowed it to happen.

The occupy movement should move from Wall Street to Washington, to congress and the White house, because they are the people who can fix it, the will of the American people will be answered, if we have the unified interest to express it loud and clear for everyone to hear.

MY NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS FOR 2012

(WHAT IS YOURS?)

December 31, 2011

I have been making New Year's resolutions, since I can remember.  Of course this has been an American tradition; most of us feel obliged to follow.  We think of the resolutions that we have failed to keep the previous year, the things we have done wrong during the year, and usually renew those resolutions hopefully to make us better persons during the next year.  It is like a re- awakening of our responsibilities to our families our, friends and the country we love.  It makes us feel good to do this.  It is like we were confessing our mistakes and vowing not to make them again.

Making a New Year's resolution is not like the vows we make when we become Christians in the Church of God, or when we marry and make our vows to our spouse.

It is not like the pledge we made right after Pearl Harbor to fight to the death for the defense of our country to love honor and obey our constitution.  All these are serious commitments made for a lifetime and promises we had to keep.

The resolutions we make each year are more casual, personal, and an honest effort to correct and improve our relations with others.  But on reflection, I think these resolutions are vitally necessary because they define who we are and how we act.  It has to do with honesty dedication and concern for our fellow man and the country we have come to love deeply.   We have been put on this earth and in this great country through the sacrifice and love of our parents.  We enjoy the freedoms and opportunities in this country because of the love and sacrifice of our forefathers, during the revolutionary war and all the wars, sacrifices and challenges our country has had to face since then.

All these freedoms and opportunities do not come to us free, they were bought and paid for by those who preceded us, and handed down to us just like the lessons and principals our parents taught us to follow.  When we partake of what this country offers us, it comes with a responsibility to provide a better life for our children and others just as was provided to us.  It is always the goal of parents to provide a better life and future for their children than they themselves had.  That is why our parents and families have spent their entire lives nurturing and training us to take their places in a better world and way of life they were able to have.

As for me and my wife, Rose, we have raised a family of six children and tried to make their lives better than we enjoyed.  When we married, we had a goal in life to see me through college and law school so we and our family could enjoy a better life.  We have been able to succeed in these goals and provide for our children who have now left the nest and are living out their lives as they desire.

We have come to the twilight of our lives, in our eighties, where we do not need to worry about work or money, our children are all set and we feel satisfied to have accomplished all our goals.  We should be able to enjoy the few remaining years of our lives without worry or concern, except we cannot relax and enjoy those remaining years and we worry about the future and those who will follow us.

Today we are in the middle of a very serious recession, much like we personally experienced during the 1930's and the great depression.  This economic downturn has lasted since 2007 and we see it continuing because our leaders in Washington do not have a plan or clue about how to end it.  Our unemployment figures are stuck at about 10%, a figure that insures more problems ahead.  Something drastic and quickly must be done to reverse this problem.  When you add the fact that our national budget is more than one and a half trillion dollars over what our treasury income, and we have a national debt of about 17 trillion dollars with no real plan to pay it off quickly.  It would be criminal and wrong for our government leaders to leave this debt to future generations of Americans to pay, yet, I see and hear most Americans who have jobs worry not about those who don't, maybe because the government has taken the same position, "tough luck" they say, the sad fact is that this trend is bound to get worse because all the factory and manufacturing jobs have gone overseas in search of cheap labor and this country just cannot survive as a service nation without these industries.  Our construction industry is out of work because our real estate values continue to drop with more and more mortgages in foreclosure since they become "underwater," with more added weekly.

All this concern on our part comes from the fact we experienced the hunger and anguish of the great depression and the challenges to our freedom in World War II.  It was those two events that united this country as it did during the only other time, the American revolution of 1776.  Also it is our civic duty and obligation to help our country and people at this most serious time for our country.

If you don't know it, this country is controlled by big business and labor unions each of which control the republican and democratic parties.  Everything that happens in Washington is for their benefit through the huge campaign contributions they make to our representatives in Washington, including our president.  We the American people have lost control of our country through our own inattention to what was happening in Washington.

We are prone to make all kinds of excuses for not getting involved in this dirty game of politics.  Many people say, "...my vote doesn't count what can, I do about it?  I don't even vote anymore!  No matter whom we put into office nothing changes. "The problem is, that Wall Street big businesses and thee labor unions and our two political parties have wrested control of our country from us because we allowed it to happen while we gave free rein to our elected officials.  They have already bankrupted our country in the process and only care about the profit they can make.

If the American people don't stand up and take notice and do something about this situation, we will soon be owned by China, we will be communist and lose all our freedoms.    That is your choice, and it will be the people's fault for letting them get away with stealing our country.  Your vote together with everyone else does count and you should realize the power of that vote when organized.

Therefore, my New Year's resolution is to speak out and vote out all the members of congress and our "lazy" president, Obama, and replace them with independent candidates in 2012 as our only hope to save our country as we know and enjoy it.  What is your choice?  Do not tell me you were not warned.  Your inaction will cause your own downfall; you have an obligation to help save your country.  You must act now, before it is too late!

THE RISE OF OIL PRICES DUE TO IRAN'S THREAT TO BLOCK THE STARITS OF HOMUZ

December 29, 2011

Iran's threat to close the Straits of Homuz to all oil shipments because of the proposed sanctions is just another excuse for the oil companies to raise their oil prices again.  Overnight the price jumped about .15 cents even though the oil still flows and the threat is not likely to succeed.

If the truth is known, the American people would realize we import about 40% of our oil needs from the Middle East, while the same amount of oil produced in the United States is shipped to Japan and Asia from Alaska and the United States mainland.  Therefore if the government really controlled its oil it leases to the oil companies we would not import one gallon of oil to the states, so much for who really controls American oil and its price in the U. S. A.  It is the oil companies who control oil and its price with their huge contributions yearly to our representatives in Washington to keep their hand off this scheme to rip-off the American people.

What we need in the U. S. A. is price controls on oil and all its products as a means to stop this constant price fixing and high prices on oil that is in America's property and given away to the oil companies under so called "leases."

All the sources of energy should be put under the control of the U. S. A., at least until we crawl out of this deep recession.  The same should apply to food which continues to rise, while and our wages continue to go down.

We cannot expect help from our office holders in Washington, simply because they are the cause of the problem.  Unless you throw the bums out, these rip-offs will continue    replacing one party member with a member of the other party does nothing but change the faces of those in Washington and not the results.  Our representatives we send to Washington are controlled by each polticalparty and usual they vote in lockstep with the parties' wishes and not that of the American people who they are supposed to represent.

Let us all decide to really make a change in our government in 2012 by replacing all our representatives with independent candidate who will represent the American people for a change.

Why president Obama does not deserve a second term

A Christmas wish for the American people

December 22, 2011

With seven or eight republicans battling it out for the republican nomination for the presidency, Obama has no democratic opposition, when he should have, because he does not deserve a second chance to fail again as our president.

Everyone remembers his sweet talking promises of "can do and "change" because after three years he couldn't or wouldn't do anything right and in fact, he changed nothing but continued the gridlock that has crippled Washington for years.  The sad fact is that he had the first two years of a democratic congress to pass legislation to fix the economy, the unemployment and house foreclosure problems and he managed to make matters worse by voting temporary pork bills to help his union friends and public workers, while voting temporary extensions to the unemployed, instead of finding permanent work for those jobs that have fled overseas under the free trade system.

In the finance field, he handed out the second half of the bank and wall street bailout money, without any conditions to help the mortgage default problem which has plagued the country for the last five years and, which continues to deflate real estate values every day.  His only comment was, "why help those who should not have purchased homes, they could not afford".  He forgot it is the lending bank who had the obligation to determine the feasibility of the loan and had the last clear chance to say no!, except for the bank's greed.  Unemployment has doubled under his watch while his only solution is to watch it rise or remain stagnant.  Giving temporary extensions to the unemployed only prolongs the problem and compounds it, as a result.  Nobody has come up with a plan to help employment, by bringing the lost jobs back because the president and congress are paid by big business to do nothing while reaping in huge campaign contributions of about two million dollars a congressman each year.  President Obama's chief political supporter is Wall Street and he has been amply paid to help them and not the American people.   He bailed out the three auto makers with huge loans to help the union auto worker keep his job, whose union has been the major cause of foreign competition in the auto industry.

He did cram a national health plan through congress with the help of his democratic majority, which is so bad and costly it must be repealed and abandoned.  If he had worked on a plan to reduce medical costs, everyone could afford their own medical, insurance.

His biggest lie was to complain that his opponents, Hillary Clinton and John McCain, voted for the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and that he would get them out right away, then waited three years to leave Iraq, while sending thirty thousand more servicemen to Afghanistan as casualties have doubled in the process as a result, without any progress. Or any hope to win the fight against a handful of terrorists.  As we now leave Iraq, a civil war between the Sunnis and Shiites religious faction has already broken out which will end the nine year plan to democratize the country who has rightfully hated invaders for three thousand years.

If he didn't get the message as a result of the loss of the democratic house in 2010, he will get the message by his defeat in 2012.

If this is the best our president can do, in the last three years, with no promise or plan to help, except to let nature takes its course, the American people are disillusioned and disgusted with their leaders in Washington and the only sensible thing to do is to reject them all and put in new faces who will work for the American people who elect them and need help desperately.

By the same token, none of the republican candidates have any plan to help the economy.  All they want to do is to reduce taxes on the rich, reduce the national budget and debt, repeal the Obama health plan and remove all controls on big business which has resulted in the worst recession since the great depression, and which will make the rich, richer and the poor, poorer.  With both the democrats and republicans selling out their souls and country for big business contributions, there just is no hope to return the country from the present control of big business and return it to the hands of the American people who are the real owners and guardians of our constitutions of this failing country.  It is clear that our representatives in Washington are taking orders from their respective political party and not the American people as they should.

Unless we elect a president and congress who will represent the American people, first and always, this country is doomed to become a second rate country like Rome, Spain, France and England, whose fall from grace came from within.

During this Christian holiday season, let us pray that the United States comes up with a true leader for the American people who will really lead us out of this mess; our trusted politicians have put us into for far too long.

We need a leader who really can do and make the necessary changes we desperately need without further delay.

NEWT GINGRICH, OR NEWT GET RICH, OR NEWT KINGRICH, THEY ARE ALL THE SAME

December 18, 2011

When I hear that Newt Gingrich is soaring in the republican polls for president, I cringe, and worry that the republican majority, have lost their way in 2011 in their quest for the "best" candidate to beat president Obama in 2012.  I am convinced, if they finally nominate Newt for their presidential candidate, they are insuring the re-election of the democrat Obama as our president in 2012.

Everyone knows that Newt is a Washington insider who has profited from his influence peddling from the government agency Freddy Mack and Fanny Mae and from big health insurance companies.  He has made so much money at his latest trade, that his current third wife has a $500,000 credit account at Tiffany's in New York City.

Newt was expelled out of his speaker of the house of representatives job for dishonest dealings not to mention his adulterous affairs while his first wife was dying of cancer, then he led the charge for the impeachment of then president Clinton for his liaison with Monica Lewinski while he, hypocritically was doing the same thing with a member of his office staff.  This man has never displayed a commitment to his marriage or the honesty necessary or required to hold public office, but has the gall to run for president of the United States?  Now he fancies himself as, "Kingrich", and as, "Newt Get Rich."  Don't forget, he referred to the occupy Wall Street crowd as "bums and complainers who should take a bath and get a job."  As president and "King" he will stamp them out as  president Hoover did to the veterans of world war one, during the great depression when they marched on Washington for their promised bonus for war time service.  His arrogant and superior attitude makes me think he wants to be king of the U. S. A.

There is no question that Newt is a great speaker and liar, much like, Obama, whom makes promises he does not intend to keep.  He recently came up with a tax plan to set the rate for individuals at 15% while corporations are lowered to 12.5 % from 35%, capital gains and estate taxes are eliminated, which only favors the RICH and the BIG CORPORATIONS while his intention and that of all republicans is to reduce the national budget and debt by trimming Medicaid Medicare and Social Security, at the expense of the poor and middle class.  Now, he wants to send all the illegal immigrants back to where they came from to prevent another amnesty which could only help the democrats.  This man has already demonstrated he is bought and paid for by BIG BUSINESS, can't be trusted to tell the truth and will sell his soul for a buck or two.  After what has been happening in Washington for the last twenty years do we need or want to continue with the same thing over and over again?

We need a person who gives us the hope and confidence that they will put the 10% of unemployed Americas back to work in permanent jobs and improve the housing and construction  markets which were ruined by the greedy banks and lending institutions.  Both Newt and none of the republican candidates have come up with a plan to do this.  Their interest is only to eliminate the Obama health plan, reduce the national budget and national debt and help BIG BUSINESS and the 1% of Americans who have controlled this country with campaign contributions.  They want the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer.  Nobody, not the democrats or republican parties, want to represent the American people, whose country it is.  It's the BIG BUSINESSES and labor unions that have hijacked our country and its riches, its opportunities and its future.

If you want more of the hard times and fewer jobs and opportunities, then vote for Newt Gingrich.  If you want someone who will represent the American people, vote independent!

Wake up and get involved before it is too late, "Washington is burning," while the politicians are filling their pockets.

President Obama's Decision to Withdraw all Troops from Iraq

Written on:  October 21, 2011

Today, President Obama finally fulfilled a campaign promise to withdraw American troops from Iraq.  My only complaint is that it came about three years too late, after such a promise and is another prime example of what politician say to get elected and then do after their election.  When you realize, Obama won the democratic nomination and the election on the grounds he voted against the war in Iraq as most American also felt was wrong, while Hillary Clinton and John McCain voted for it in congress.

When you remember the reason why the then president George Bush decided to invade Iraq, he and his administration made a strong case that Saddam Hussein was still amassing weapons of mass destruction, including the material necessary for atomic weapons.  Congress went along with this war in the middle of the 9-11 hysteria and just after the invasion of Afghanistan and the capture or scattering of the Al-Qaida terrorists training there.

Within a few months Iraq was conquered and Saddam Hussein went into hiding, only to be captured later, tried, convicted and publicly hung by the neck.

In the meantime, I remember the triumphant landing of our president Bush on that aircraft carrier where a giant banner read "Mission Accomplished" upon reflection, at the time; I felt that statement was true.  So why are we still there fighting a few stragglers and terrorists probably sent there through the help of Iran next door.  It seems we had a new mission, to make a democracy out of a country torn by religious turmoil between the Sunnis and the Shiites.  Nearly nine years later we are still training Iraqi forces to take over after we emphatically denied the Sunni majority who had ruled under Saddam Hussein and were perfectly capable to defend the country to stay in power.  We the United Sates, decided to put the ill trained and novice leaders in charge and to take over, but who still are a question mark as defenders of the government we put in place there, almost nine years later.

Now, after we lost about 5000 fighting men and an additional 50,000, wounded there, over this period and spent about a trillion dollars we did not have to spend there in the first place, while we are still fighting a stalemate war in Afghanistan after ten years, we have finally decided to get out, because the Iraqi government wants jurisdiction over our soldiers who have been fighting and dying there for nearly a decade.  Everyone knows that the Shiite government is allied with friends in Iran and Syria, and they desire to end the increasing influence of America in that country and area, since increasing influence of America in that country and area.  There, as it seems also the case in Afghanistan.  These people had the patience to wait us out, knowing we would leave some day and that day has come.  Our mission was accomplished when we disposed of Hussein and put him to death.  No country can impose its will on another country and people who don't trust our motives in the first place.  We should have left Iraq a few months after we went in, if not stay out in the first place, since weapons of mass destruction were never found and we were duped into a war Bush wanted and Vice President Cheney profited from with the help of Halliburton.

Today, the republicans came out crying foul, since politically they are against anything and everything Obama does in order to unseat him politically regardless of what is right and what the American people have wanted since e the vote nine years ago.  It gives you and idea, how fierce the politics are and have been in Washington for the last ten years and why no one cares about helping the economy and unemployment problem that is destroying our great country.  No one seems to care that the free trade agreement and fuel costs have reduced the country to only a service status.  Our country has been lost to China a communist country who will own us very soon.

The republicans are always looking to lover taxes and reduce the enormous national debt of about 15 trillion and rising.  Removing the troops from Iraq means we will save 100 billion dollars yearly in troop costs.  That money is urgently needed to help the economy, balance the overburdened budget shortfall, or reduce the national debt.

All this mess, points out how important it is to take the politics out of the operation of our government, be removing Obama and all the members of congress from office, be them democrats or republicans and electing independent candidates to office who will represent the American people instead of political parties and special interest groups who are in control of our country, "...Of and by the People...".

The Complaints and Demands of the "Occupy Protestors"

Written on: October 24, 2011

These country wide protests by disgruntled and disillusioned protestors against Wall Street and the Federal Government's inability to help the economy and the unemployment problem in the United States of America, was born out of frustration.  Our government's inability or refusal to help the average American citizen, suffering under a broken economy, has helped only the 1 % super rich and Wall Street banks and financial institutions, who have caused this problem, in the first place.

Back in 2008, a few weeks before the presidential election President Bush and his Treasure Secretary, Paulson, rushed to congress with an emergency request to bail out Wall Street from the mortgage fiasco they themselves created.  Presidential candidates, McCain and Obama, joined in as fellow spokesmen urging congress to pass a near trillion dollar bailout, obstensively to help those, too big to fail, so they would loosen up the funds necessary in the financial market to help the economy and the unemployment problem.  Instead, Wall Street took the money given them without a single directive or condition and gave out bonuses to undeserving employees and managers alike, held lavish parties and thumbed their noses a the American people while investing the money to bring back the sagging stock market, make huge profits, while leaving the American people with a huge mortgage problems with sagging real-estate values and defaulting mortgages and foreclosures, which have continued to this day.

The election of the glib, Barack Obama, who promised a "can do and change" administration turned out to be a big disappointing lie, since things did not change, but continued on the same favorite path for big business and the Wall Street crowd as usual.  Obama deliberately released the second half of a trillion dollars on his Treasury Secretary Gehtner's advice.  Suddenly, after nearly three years, it has become apparent to every hurting American that Wall Street and big business control our elected representatives and run our government for their exclusive benefit with the payment of hundreds of millions of dollars to political campaigns for our representatives, while each political party joins in with their own controls, like a cattle drive in Texas, herding our representative to vote in lock step to their own political agenda, with more money, intimidation and control.  For the last twenty 25 years this country has been on a path of ruin, as a result.  Every bill out of congress has helped Wall Street and big business which in turn has caused our factories and industries to escape overseas in search of our factories and industries to escape overseas in search of cheap labor while Wall Street and the financial institutions had congress relax credit laws permitting easy credit and the bundling of mortgages on the world stock market.  The Federal Reserve System aided in this unlimited credit plan by lowering the discount rate almost monthly to near zero, prompting and encouraging the homeowner to refinance their mortgages several times over because of the lower interest rates, the government provided.  The finance bubble continued for more than 20 years until the easy credit by banks caused the bubble to burst with overbuilding in 2007, when the Stock Market and the building boom collapsed.  The mortgage and construction business have been abandoned while the stock Market has boomed due to Wall Street's money infusions, along with our governments Federal Reserve System.

Most politicians blame the consumer and the borrower for this problem, to escape responsibility for their actions, but that is not correct because, those banks had the last clear chance to stop these easy loans, but did not because of their greed for profit.

As a result the average homeowner is now sitting in a home where the mortgage exceeds its value, all because the government did not exercise its power to rein in the banks and, instead bailed them out while leaving the home owner stuck with the bill.  Mitt Romney, the leading republican presidential candidate, recently said, "The mortgage foreclosure problem must run its course."  Now, you know neither democrats nor republicans intend to help these American home owners, the real victims, of this bank greed.

There cannot be any recovery of the economy when 25% of our workers are unable to work in the construction field.  In addition, as the mortgage foreclosures continue, real estate values will decline further, putting other mortgages at risk of going underwater.

The future of this country is at risk, if the American people do not meet this abandonment by their representatives in Washington, by doing something drastic.  For now, they have rightly chosen to vent their anger at the "darlings" of politicians, the financial industry, the direct cause of our economic breakdown, in 2007.  Soon, the will start demonstrating at the congress and White House where, in the final analysis, the American people demand relief from a problem their own representatives have caused.  You saw 25% of congress replaced in 2010, now you are about to see a revolution at the polls in 2012, unless a drastic turnaround happened to this plight.  The result may be a complete change in the presidency and both sides of congress, but I believe there still will not be the needed change in the economy and unemployment.

What is needed is a complete change in the politics of America.  But that is not possible while, we keep changing one political party control over another, time after time or replace a donkey with an elephant; they are still and always will be dumb animals.  What we need is the Independent human beings that are mentioned in the United States Constitution, "We the People of the United States..." to take control of their country back from the politicians we have elected in the past, only to have sold us out with their greed for money, for the last 30 years.

The American people are beginning to show signs of awakening to the threat to this country from within our own borders, the representatives whom we elect and re-elect term after term only to receive more of the same misgoverning and misrepresentation, term after term.  The American people have the power in themselves to make the necessary changes, by their vote at the polling places, if they don't use it they can expect more of the same and maybe, something worse, in all probability since time is running out for the relief they deserve and must have without further delay.

Is This The Best The GOP Can Do For Presidential Candidates?

If So, They Are Guaranteeing Obama's Re-Election, In November, 2012

November 29, 2011

It is just about five weeks until the Iowa caucus and the GOP have gone from Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, and Herman Cain and now, Newt Gingrich, in popularity, as our next republican president the problem with republicans is, that.  For the first time in many years, they are disorganized with many different factions vying for control of the party and none of the eight candidates appeal to more than 25% of a total party member.

The first front runner was Governor Mitt Romney who has paid his dues over the years ran for the presidency in 2008 but lost out to John McCain for the nomination because of his country wide popularity.  There is no question that Romney deserves to be nominated but for the objection of two important factions, the very conservative southern Baptist congregations who claim he is not a Christian while privately, have decided he is too much of a compromise, just what this country needs to get something done in congress and the country instead of the stalemate which has crippled the country for the last three years.  Besides, the old guard republicans, still in power in Washington want a wheeler and dealer like Gingrich, as their president since he will do their bidding while Mitt Romney, a Mormon, thinks more about his office representing the people first over the party.  Mitt is and will never be one of them so they have decided they cannot buy him at any price so he must not be allowed to get the nomination.

At first the republican old guard and southern Baptists thought they had a winner in Rick Perry, who has wheeled and dealed with big oil and big businesses in Texas and had the "right" religious background to be one of their boys as president who could be easily swayed as they did with George Bush during the eight years of his presidency, when the rich got richer and the poor, poorer, thanks to the tax breaks and relaxation of government controls over those mega greedy financial institutions and banks who regularly bankroll the campaigns of most congressmen and presidential administrations.  But Perry did not measure up to their expectations when he fumbled and lost his cues during most every public debate with his fellow presidential candidates. He was out of the league, tongue tied and forgetful and a real embarrassment to those rooting for him and to himself.  He is a good man, but needs another eight years to measure up to the competition.

Reluctantly they turned to Herman Cain, another fast talking and convincing carnival barker, much like Obama and being black, was a perfect match as an opponent to Obama, who they felt Citizen Cain was not a professional politician, but only interested in money for the rich, like the old guard and their backers.  But when the sexual harassment allegations and extra marital liaisons came to light, this baggage became too heavy a burden for any candidate to avoid, in spite of the fact at least two allegations were bought off and quieted, in an effort to sweep them under the rug.  It did not take long for the republicans to become aware of who was the liar and his popularity dropped like a trap door under his feet.

With  Governor Huntsman a democratic appointee to China, that woman representative Michelle Bachman who want to outlaw abortions as her main theme, Senate loser Richard Santorum and that notorious adulterer and millionaire spending  lobbyist, former Speaker of the House who resigned in disgrace, Newt Gingrich, to pick from, to save face, the republican party gang of thieves naturally went for one of their own, "cash and carry Gingrich" as their safe choice to win the republican nomination and he has had a meteoric rise in the republican polls, whose bull s**t can easily surpass that of President Obama, any day.

So, the republicans seems to be stuck with a man who hasn't had a real job for the last thirty years who has and is being supported by congress, government agencies and lobbyists for the last half of his life, now wants to move into the White House and be supported for the next four to eight years then retire on a sweet pension the American people must pay for the rest of his life.  All I can say is, why have the rest of us lived a decent clean life when the big profit comes from being a politician and outright bull s**t artist.  He is arrogant and will act as presidential-like the dictator he was when he shut down the government when Clinton was president.

I say, where are the Washington's, the Lincolns the two Roosevelt's, Teddy and Franklin, who spent their years as president, fighting for and helping the American people in times of crisis, turmoil and war.  None of these politicians, including that phony Obama, will ever measure up to the man or woman we need to get us out of this worsening depression, put the American people back to work in the industrial and manufacturing jobs we have lost to foreign powers due to the laws and tax breaks our former congresses have passed and our former presidents have signed into law.  To the detriment of the American people for the campaign contributions they have received in order to be re-elected and stay in power year after year.

It is a sad day when the American people are left with the sad choice of the lesser of two evils for the offices in Washington, a system which we have sadly repeated over the last four years, only to find out nothing is changed but the faces and the corruption continues while the American people are left with the budget deficit and national debt that will soon bankrupt our nation if we, the American people don't get it right very soon and elect the right non political people, who will do the job  for us and not anyone else.  It is your country and only you can save it with your voice and votes.

THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HAVE LOST CONTROL OF THEIR GOVERNMENT

November 24, 2011

When, "We the People of the United States", declared our independence from our mother land England, in 1776, it was chiefly because we were being taken advantage of by our rulers and taxed without representation.

After fighting three wars from within to keep our freedom and many others from other foreign powers, we have managed to form a government which has functioned to the envy of all the world and for the last 100 years and we have been a leader amongst the nations of the world.  We are the place of plenty of room, food and work and not dependent on anyone but ourselves to live free from want, in safety and tranquility.

However, for the last sixty years, since our glorious days of victory in World War II, when we almost singlehandedly took on and defeated the challenge to our very existance and freedom of Japan, Germany and Italy, we have managed as the world's most powerful and respected nation, to be reduced in a period of five short years to a debtor nation with high unemployment, a deep recession we have not seen in 80 years.  We have become a broken economy and a dysfunctional government whose members cannot agree to fix anything. Yet, the American people are put into further debt of more than a trillion dollars a year because our leaders in Washington cannot or will not agree on any plan to save our sinking credit and economy.

Everything in Washington is based on politics, and control by both political parties, who control the members of each party and their vote.  Now that they are in a re-election mode for the next year, the political war between these two opposite armies has intensified to the point they want to destroy the other while they don't even talk to each other, seldom meet in session or even agree when they meet as committees.

All the while, it is the American people and our government who suffer the consequences.  When the people show their disdain and distrust of our government in the streets, they are called kooks and malcontents who should take a bath and go to work, by such candidate as, Newt Gingrich, the perfect example of a money hungry, greedy, fat politician who has profited from the government for the last thirty years and has the reputation of an adulterer and hypocrite.  The Republican Party is so corrupt they are about to choose him as their standard bearer for the presidency.  The democrats fell in love with that sweet and fast talking phony, Obama, who is so impressed with himself, he thinks and acts like he is the kingfish.  I call him a standing and moving well dressed dummy, since he accomplishes nothing in my opinion, he would do better to be a doorman at a fancy hotel.

Are these, the statesmen we should be electing to the highest office in our country to represent the best of America, worldwide?  This man runs around the world genuflecting and bowing to other world leaders and apologizing for America's actions, when he should be apologizing to the American people for his stupidity and lack of action to help them for the last three years.

This is the very reason why the republicans are not satisfied with any of the presidential candidates in their party and the democrats better start looking for a real democratic presidential candidate, than have this loser, lose in 2012.

If the American people are stuck in neutral on their selection of candidates and they know they are unhappy with those presently on the field, they had better find an Independent presidential candidate who will represent them and not either political party or anyone else, as they have done for the last few election terms.

If we keep swapping one party candidate for another party candidate, only the faces change, and you can expect no improvement or help for the American people, who have lost control of their government from within, by their own selfish, money grabbing politicians who do everyone else's bidding but that of the American people.

It is time for the American people to take back control of their government, by refusing to re-elect their present representatives, or any democrat or republican because, if they don't, this country will not exist after another four years.

What do you Expect from a Super (stupid) Committee?

Written on November 20, 2011

Early in the year, the leaders of both political parties in congress, at the behest of president Obama appointed a "Super Committee" of 12 congressmen, to find a way to reduce the national budget at least 1.2 trillion dollars so that some progress is made to balance the budget eventually and, maybe, also reduce the national debt, now reaching 17 trillion dollars and rising shamefully.  This committee was appointed because the leaders of both political parties and congressmen could not agree on this matter, even though that is their constitutional duty.

The whole process was a joke because, reducing the budget by 1.2 trillion dollars over ten years means 20 billion dollars a year while the budget deficit is ten times that amount, never mind the nagging debt which is still unaddressed for the next ten years.  Therefore, the budget deficit will continue under congress's plan for another ten years, while the debt will increase the national debt during that time, another 5 trillion dollars, and will total about 22 trillion dollars in another ten years.  That road does nothing but increase the debt when it will also take ten years to balance the budget.  Our representatives in congress are using smoke and mirrors to try to fool the American people when they claim they are solving serious financial problems, they, the republicans and democrats made over the last eleven years of Bush and Obama. Remember, President Clinton left us a surplus, instead.

Now, many months later, our congressional Super Committee and congress are at the same impasse they were many months ago.  They cannot agree on most anything and continue to kick the can down the road, while shirking the duties of their office.  The constitution of the United States makes no provisions for Super Committees to make decisions for congressmen.  As a result, this committee and the congress are acting unconstitutionally, which is no surprise to anyone since the democrats more or less did the same thing with the Obama health bill in 2009, when they controlled congress.  The democratic leaders agreed on a plan in the middle of the night, lead by President Obama and the democratic congress rubber stamped it like sheep lead to the slaughter, without anyone even having time to read it.  As a result, the plan stinks to high heaven.

All this is, but another example of what is wrong with our government, and you wonder why we are in the middle of a deep recession without any ideas or hope to get the country on the right track to halt the human suffering.     Both political parties' members' agenda is that of their party and not the wishes of the American people.

The "Occupy Wall Street Movement," now is the second public demonstration of the disgust and disillusionment of the people against our government, the tea party being the first.  All these people have a legal right to be heard and to demonstrate their anger.  Many city, state and governments want us to believe they are a bunch of rag tag, lazy, malcontents, and they are embarrassed by this open rebellion and worry what is next.  They try to quell it by breaking up the encampments. They are using pepper spray, illegally and Gestapo-type tactics to make small of a big problem.  Our government leaders do not like to be reminded of their failures.  All this is just the beginning of a ground swell of discontent in the United States of America by the 90 percent of the people who are suffering because of the actions of their politicians and government, whom are do the bidding of big business for money instead of their obligation to do the bidding of the American people who elected them., while the smug 1%, of the rich get richer and we, the people 90%, poorer.

The answer will come at the election of 2012, if not sooner, by the ouster of every politician in Washington.  But the problem will not improve, if we still keep voting out one political party member for another, since it is the two political parties who control our government with their power, money and intimidation of our elected officials, who are in turn bought off by big business and union bosses.

What we need to do is to elect Independent candidates who will do the bidding of the people, so when they are in the majority they can change the constitution of pass laws banning the big political contributions from anyone not a voter, since only the American people, who vote should control their government and give very limited political contributions to candidates.  What say you?   It is time for you stand up and be counted and be active if you care about your country and its future for you and your children.  Your country needs your voice and action now, before it is too late!

Presidential Candidate Cain's "End of Story, Back on Message," Remark

(If, That is the End of the Story", it is also the End of his Candidacy)

November 7, 2011

That, is the latest message from presidential candidate Cain, recently, after he publically refused to discuss the sexual harassment case further, involving, not one but two employees, who were paid money to settle and quiet their claims.  But, the matter will not go away, because Cain himself is keeping it alive with his refusal to discuss the matter further it may be true that one of the alleged victims does not want to come forward and publicly challenge Cain's account of what may have happened, but through her attorney he says she disputes it.  This is understandable, especially because of the non disclosure agreement she signed with the Restaurant Owner's Association, years ago.  But, that does not mark the end of the story because there are too many unanswered questions which Cain himself has raised with his conflicting statements, which, understandable the American public want and are entitled to have answered before they will vote for him as our next president, the highest office in the country.

He admits, at least one complaint was made against him for the alleged sexual harassment as an employer.  He admits the matter was settled or an agreement was made by the company who paid the equivalent of a year's salary to one of the complainers and that a non disclosure phrase was included in the settlement.  Cain's statement of the incident, according to his admitted clouded memory was that he was comparing the woman's height to that of his wife, to most people, sounds un justifiable for the association to pay out money to keep the episode quiet, especially when there are two alleged complaints for sexual misconduct.  If Cain's story was true, why would he not insist that he and they defend her complain and his actions in court, if the need be, than to settle in the manner described by him and leave the serious question of sexual misconduct hanging out there for all to know about once the matter was revealed to the public.  Obviously the reason must be that he and the association preferred to settle and quiet the accusers with a non disclosure agreement hoping that would be the end of the accusation and hopefully the end of the story.  However, the non disclosure agreement was between the parties who signed it and cannot bind anyone else, except possibly Herman Cain himself as a member of the association, if he signed it, and act he denies.

When this matter was revealed and Cain was asked about it, he acted like he did not remember much about it, but later admitted he told a campaign adviser only a few years ago, when he was running for the senate about it and also accused him of leaking it to presidential candidate, Rick Perry, for whom he as now working.  He then flayed out and accused Perry of the plot for political gain.  The more Cain talked about it, the more questions arose and more interest was aroused by the public because of the unanswered questions.  If Cain was bound by the non disclosure agreement also, as he should have been, why did he not hide behind the gag rule and keep quiet and be gagged also?  The simple answer is that, if he did not give a plausible and believable answer to the complaint, the failure to answer would be regarded as an admission in this case.  Therefore, he is dead wrong to say, at this time that, "this is the end of the story" because there are still many unanswered questions about both sexual harassment claims, not one, but both of which have a myriad of unanswered questions that need to be answered to the satisfaction of the American public before any one should feel confident enough to vote for him as our next president.

It is the public that will tell Cain, when "the story ends," not Cain, he can refuse to answer any more questions about the alleged complaints, that is his decision, to make and he has made it more than once recently, therefore it is fair to assume that his candidacy for president of the United States will fail, as it should because of this unanswered cloud over his head, he, himself has decided to hide under.  We know of at least two bona fide complaints against him who knows how many more lurk in his past?

When the goes to the extreme, and refused to answer any more questions than berate reporters for asking questions, surely mean Herman Cain is trying to hide the truth from coming out.  When you summarily and boldly challenge a newspaper person who is merely trying to get to the truth, the gauntlet has been dropped and it will be Cain who will suffer the consequences.

SAVE AMERICA, BUY AMERICAN, OR   SAY "BYE -BYE", TO THE

AMERICA WE LOVE

(An Open Letter to Every American and Our Government)

November 4, 2011

The American economy is so bad and has been for so long, we just cannot wait for our government to lead us out of this mess.  Our representatives have no time to represent us, because they have sold out for campaign money, ostensibly to get re-elected.

Let's face it, this country is run by each political party, big moneyed people, unions and corporations no matter whether you elect, a republican or democratic representative to congress, nothing will change and the money will continue to flow, regardless of who is in office.

It is the goal of each political party to control it's members and destroy the other party every two years and that is another reason nothing really gets done in Washington these days.

Every American cannot sit idly by, waiting for that good job or for someone else to help their small business to survive and prosper.

All Americans can and must act in unison and concert to help each other out of this recession.  The first step we all can take is to adopt a program to buy only American products made in the "good ole U. S. A."

The following are but a few of the important steps we should take starting today:

  • 1. Buy, rent and use only American made vehicles such as cars, trucks, buses, planes and also ships.

  • 2. Buy only American made clothes, appliances, computers, cell phones and other goods and materials, do not buy anything made in China, in order to eliminate the billion dollar trade deficit with them, before they own us.

  • 3. Buy only American raised food and produce of all kinds until we have full American employment.

  • 4. Buy only American produced gasoline and fuel oil in order to eliminate the trade deficit with foreign countries. Only American companies should be granted leases or the right to drill for oil in the U.S.A. The government should back a crash program to produce alternative clean energy to rid us permanently of foreign oil products within the next few years.

  • 5. Take vacations and trips only in the U. S. A. and not in another foreign country until we have full American employment and the economy recovers. America is just beautiful a beautiful historical country.

  • 6. Do not employ anyone but American citizens in your business and boycott every employer and his/her products that does otherwise. Americans should not be left to compete for jobs in America while we have such high unemployment. Ask your government representatives to stop granting work visas to foreigners.

  • 7. The government should weed out all foreigners who overstay their visas and permits to enter this country from anywhere and are working in American jobs.

  • 8. For the next five years, everyone must be prevented from raising prices, wages and benefits, with government wage price and benefit controls until full American employment returns to the U.S.A.

If every American practices "buy American," employment will come back quickly and factories will be producing American goods and full employment will return to our country and the economic recession will end.

All this can be accomplished by the actions of the American people, themselves, "save America, buy American."

Service and Sacrifice

A Veteran's Day poem by, Seth Marino

As the sun blazes above the dunes,

And the bullets whistle their deathly tunes,

A man knows that very soon,

Those tiny blurs will bring his doom,

He's the American Warrior.

For many reasons he's been called in,

From the long march to Berlin,

To the murder of the tallest twins,

But he always returns to fight again,

He's the American Defender.

And though it is not easy,

Leaving behind a family,

It remains his duty,

To keep his country free,

He's the American Hero.

So as the guns unleash their wrath,

Leaving destruction in the aftermath,

He stares into the face of death,

He's the American Soldier.

THE PROBLEM WITH THE HERMAN CAIN CANDIDACY

Written on November 4, 2011

After eleven years of both a republican and democratic presidency and congress, which has resulted in the worst recession since the great depression of the 1930's, the American people find themselves in a hopeless situation economically, of which is worsening by the day.

It seems our elected officials in Washington are more interested in catering to lobbyists and big business corporations for their money contributions, than the needs of the constituents, the American people who elect them and whom they are supposed to represent.  They have tried changing one party president for another and one party's control of congress for another, only to be disappointed and disgusted, every single time, with no improvement.

President Obama has already rolled out his re-election campaign based on the fact the republicans are obstructionists, he has done what he could to help the bad economy caused by the republicans and the choice for Americans is whether to go back to the republican plans to help only the rich and well to do, or to stick with Obama who has favored the democratic congress, unions and the union public employees and the big financial institutions on Wall Street while leaving the American people out in the cold with higher unemployment and continuing foreclosures due to a steady lowering of real estate values.

The American people have soured on the Washington representatives and want the change Obama promised and did not deliver especially during the two years he and the democrats controlled both houses of congress.  The took a quick look at the only opposition to Obama, the republican presidential hopeful field and found Herman Cain, a non politician who has been very successful in the business world who, at least has a plan, to revamp the income tax system 9.9.9., which sounds simple enough but only helps the rich 1% of the country.  All the other retread political candidates make a lot of promises but no one else has a real plan to help the American people who are not at the end of their rope of patience and funds to support their families.

Herman Cain, soon became the darling of the opposition, for his simple, up front and affable approach to the problem he had a plan even though it was faulty, with questionable backers, he was black middle aged and a republican, the only real objection to his candidacy, after eight years of Bush and republicans who started to unnecessary wars and added eight trillion dollars to the national debt.

Just after he reached the top of the polls in popularity amongst the eight republican candidates, his past surfaced to haunt his candidacy.  It seems, about a dozen years ago when he was C.E.O. of the Restaurant Owners Association, two women accused him of sexual harassment and the association made cash settlements with both of them along with a confidentiality clause to keep the claims quiet.  When this was reported by a well respected political news agency, after a very thorough investigation and notice to the Cain team, Herman Cain became so vague and protective of himself in the process he shot himself in both feet and injured himself politically with his evasive lies.  The ten days since the story broke, he has kept it alive and menacing, instead of telling the whole truth about the matters, as he should have in the first place.

Now he is compounding the fatal error by blaming the candidate Perry for the exposure of the true story which does nothing but keep the story alive while he is alienating his fellow candidates and the whole Republican Party and a majority of the American people.  His lies have enflamed the women involved in this case to the point they want to speak out to justify their actions in the first place.  All this keeps stirring the pot poison which will eventually land in a plat at his table and end his run for the republican nomination for the presidency.  America cannot afford to have a president in the White House again, whose truthfulness and sexual prowess are put in question and whose actions when confronted are publicly displayed during a presidential campaign.  It is time for serious note and attention.

We do not need a president who is devious and dishonest and dumb, some of these faults were previously demonstrated by both Presidents Nixon and Clinton.  Nixon tried to cover up his involvement in the Watergate break in by being evasive and saying "I am not a crook."  So he ended up resigning the presidency, because the recorded tapes said otherwise.  Clinton outright lied about his White house trysts with Monica Lewinsky and nearly got impeached over it.  It is bad enough to see these defects publicly displayed once a president is in office, but when the start appearing during a campaign for president as the did with Clinton, it is time to take a very long hard look at the case and learn all of the facts to be fair to all parties.  Herman Cain has not acted responsibility in this matter, by having a convenient memory and a very bad one, contradicting himself, almost daily at this point, it is clear, the cannot and should not be trusted as our next president.  For that reason alone, he should withdraw as a candidate for this highest office in our country.  It is unfortunate that he is not the clean candidate we are looking for, even though he may not be much worse than the rest of the republican and democratic presidential candidates.

HERMAN CAIN
THE RICHEST MEN'S PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE

October 20, 2011

After the republican presidential candidates' October debate in Nevada, I have finally figured out Herman Cain's mission in this presidential run.

Here is a self made man of the colored race who pulled himself up with his own boot straps and has run successful businesses and made a lot of money and friends in the process he is plain talking non politician knowledgeable, affable and a pleasant person with whom to converse.

I can see how popular he would ordinarily be to the Republican Party, sick and tired of retreads and reruns and anxious to show a new face in this campaign for the presidency.  After eight years of George Bush and a bumbling Obama.  The republicans prefer a winnable new face with business experience to take charge of the country and lead us out of the dreadful economic recession which has lasted almost as long as the great depression and certainly will, without immediate help.

Unfortunately when Cain unfurled his 9.9.9., plan, which simplifies the U. S. tax code to three basic sources of revenue for the government, a 9% income tax for individual, a 9% income tax for corporations and other entities and a 9% federal sales tax for everyone on new goods.  All this income taxes off the corporations and onto the poor and middle class since they will be paying more taxes than they may very well be an argument for some relief for corporations, but it should not be shifted to the poor and middle class in any way.

In light of all the recent alleged sexual harassments claims coming to light, Herman Cain's, political future and popularity may be soon be coming to an end.  Only time and perhaps more alleged victims coming out of the wood work will tell.

Governor Rich Perry's plan to promote exploration of oil and natural gas in the country to help rid us of our dependence on the manipulative prices of oil, has merit, but if that is the only plan he has to help the economy and employment you can readily see why he and all Texans are only interested in oil production and their profit from it.

None of the other half dozen candidates even venture a plan to help the economy and unemployment.  They continue to speak in generalities instead of what the American people need, a fool proof plan to put Americans back to work in permanent jobs right away, not in some promised distant future.

Unless and until these hopeful republican candidates come up with such a plan they can sell to the American people, they are insuring the re-election of president Obama, since they will be seen as obstructionist to help or even worse not worthy of the tough job they are seeking.  "The devil you know is better than the devil you don't know" as some wise Irishman once said.

WHERE THERE IS SMOKE, THERE IS CERTAIN TO BE FIRE

October 17, 2011

For the last week, there has been a concentrated demonstration by the masses against Wall Street, which has now spread worldwide.  At first, it was attributed to the so called liberals of America who are looking for something for nothing while others said it was dreamed up by President Obama to take the pressure and attention away from his failings to find the jobs necessary to bring the economy back to health after nearly five years of rising unemployment.

The fact is that Americans have every reason to complain about the Wall Street Financial Institutions and banks in general, because, with the help of congress and the last two presidential administrations, Bush and Obama, they are the chief causes of the mortgage collapse of 2008 and the start of the latest economic recession which has become progressively worse every month.  As if that was not bad enough, both Bush, Obama and Congress jumped in with haste to approve nearly a trillion dollars of financial help to the International Insurer, AIG and the Financial Institutions to bail them out of the mess they created in their greed, while leaving the Americans who were the victims of this scheme with mortgages, in most cases exceeding the value of the property they mortgaged.  Also, in many other cases, mortgage were freely given to Americans who really didn't qualify for them, in violations of standards the government had set up and the banks deliberately failed to follow in their quest for more profit.  The banks were given free rein to assign these mortgages to Financial Institutions on Wall Street, who in turn bundled them together and sold the in the stock market worldwide.  Of course when the bubble burst due to rising unemployment, and the collapse came, it affected the financial market worldwide.

But, the main reason for the bailout was purely political.  Wall Street and the banks are one of the chief contributors to members of congress and to each presidential administration and they been for years.  For example, in the last ten years they have contributed the sum of 5 billion dollars to our politicians in Washington.  This is an average of about a million dollars a year to each political office holders, supposedly, a contribution to their re-election effort.  When I heard Obama say "...they, (the financial Institutions) are too big to fail..." I knew he was in the bag, also, bought and paid for.

It is no wonder that nothing has been done to help the poor real estate and home owner over the last four years while foreclosures have risen and real estate values of everyone's home and property has fallen an average of one third of their original value and continue to fall while new foreclosures continue just as soon as the mortgage of a property exceeds its value.  The banks and Wall Street companies don't care because they were insured against such losses by insurance companies like AIG and others.  Of course no one is revealing that the United States government has been on the hook as guarantors of about three trillion dollars of these loans under its V.A., FHA, Fanny Mae and Freddy Mack guarantee programs all that have been swept under the table by our politicians in Washington.

Because of the present situation, with falling real estate values and people with poor credit ratings or being unemployed, banks are very reluctant to made loans to buyers or requests for refinancing, because of the falling values and unstable markets all over the world.

When the Stock Market collapsed in 2008 and the bank bailout money to recharge the Stock Market to recovery, instead of using it for the specific government stated intention of helping out the mortgage holders and the commercial borrower.  The tragedy was that the Financial Institutions made a lot of money bringing back the Stock Market averages while the American consumer lost about a third of its retirement and other investments.

To add insult to injury, the government's Federal Reserve system joined in with these bailed out Financial Institutions and poured money into the market to insure it's rebound congress the president and the big money people of the country, in the know all got rich in the market while the American consumer took the loss.

Therefore, if you wonder why the American consumer is demonstrating against Wall Street and the banks and lending institutions, know you know the reason.  Our United States government is actively helping the rich get richer while the poor get poorer.

Unless the American people wake up and turn out all those office holders in Washington in 2012, nothing will change.  This has been the selfish action of one business faction, the Financial Market, when you added all the product producing companies who have gone overseas, with the help and tax breaks of congress, in search of cheap labor to the point we have no industrial institutions left, you begin to realize why unemployment cannot recover if we do not reverse this trend.

We still have to talk about the outrageous profits being made by the oil and drug companies which have also contributed to the decline of our American economy which is now in shambles, as a result of big business's contributions and control of our politicians in Washington.

I only hope, when things get worse, as they surely will, if we keep re-electing these politicians, the American people will continue to peaceable demonstrate and vote for the changes they need, instead of starting an active revolution, the likes of which we have not seen since 1776.

Self Help is Better These Days than Protests,
or Waiting for the Government to Solve
 the Economic Problem

October 14, 2011

It is a sad day when the American people, already burdened by a bad economy, lack of jobs, spiraling national debt and a yearly budget deficit of 1.2 trillion dollars need to publically demonstrate to show their anger, mistrust and disgust with their elected officials in Washington, who for the last ten years have stood by complacently and allowed matters to go from bad to worse.

However, the American people have it within their power to solve most of these economic problems, themselves, rather than to continue to depend on "bought off" party loyalists, whose only interest is to control the government for the benefit of its backers and not the American people who elected them.

Public demonstrations are one of the people's rights, under the First Amendment of the U. S. Constitution.  It is also a way to drum up support for the demonstrator's demands and to force those demonstrated against into submission.

Since our politicians in Washington are in election mode, with one political party poised and determined to destroy the other at the election of 2012, they have no reason to compromise and work together to find help for the masses but must be content, for political reasons, to complain and chastise the members of the other party in order to defeat and replace them in office.

In the meantime it is made very clear that our representatives in office have no interest or time to help solve the worse economic recession and nagging unemployment problem in this country since the days of the great depression.

Therefore, if the American people expect relief from their problems they must also seek the self help that always is available to them if they only organize themselves in the same way with a determined purpose.  For example:

  • 1. About 45 percent of America's industrial and manufacturing jobs have been lost over the last 15 years to countries like China because of its cheaper labor force. About one half of our unemployed were employed in those companies, now located overseas or shut down because of lack of competition. There is a sure way to bring these jobs back and that is a demand and purchase for American made goods. This is the quickest and surest way to return the needed demand for American goods and return the needed also for the defense of our country. The best example of this problem is to look at the vehicles being driven on American roads these days; three out of four are made or owned in a foreign country which helps their economy not ours. It is time we buy only American made products made with American raw materials.
  • 2. Fifty percent of the jobs lost to cheap labor overseas were union jobs. Union bosses allowed this to happen without more than a whimper. Instead, if they had the foresight to take over these factories and workplaces and use some of the vast union's pension and health and welfare money to fund the cost of operation of these union shops, they would have been able to compete because the profit margin needed not be part of the needs in order to keep union men/woman working on the job they were already performing and adept at.
  • 3. New construction work is at a standstill due to the huge inventory of foreclosed properties on the market, which has depressed the value of all real estate in the country this problem accounts to 25 percent of the unemployed today. Banks are reluctant to deal with the defaulted homeowners because they are protected by insurance companies or the U. S. Government in many cases, from loss in the event of default. If the government agency, bank and banking, force the bank to reduce the mortgage to at least the present value of the home, there would be no need to foreclose and the prices would stabilize and new construction work will return to a stable market.
  • 4. Now is the time for many talented unemployed persons to set up their own business in a field of their talent, starting as a "mom and pop" operation where, at least they will be self employed and not dependent on finding employment elsewhere. They could operate out of their homes or garages where the overhead and costs would be minimal. Historically, most businesses have started in this manner and America is the best example of the free enterprise system. Very little capital is needed to start and expansion comes with success and hard work.
  • 5. The state and federal government must stop paying unemployment benefits to the chronically unemployed and put them to work at minimum wages in town, city, state and federal jobs to replace those high salaried public workers, already unaffordable. These people would at least be productive, have their self respect or will quickly find other jobs to escape their plight.
  • 6. The last 25 percent of the unemployed are from service industries like restaurants and retail places like hotels and shops. As the other 75 percent return to work, so will these service workers and the economy will recover without the help of the U. S. Government of our "do nothing" representatives in congress and the White House.

This self help is a quick way American can take charge of their destiny when their elected officials fail to help them in a time of need.  Of course, when election time comes in 2012, they will know enough, not to re-elect those same representatives who have been representing everyone but the American people who elected them and whom they are duty bound to represent, but have not.

It is time for the American people to take their politics more seriously.  Get interested and save yourself since no one else will.

PUBLIC OPINION AGAINST OUR GOVERNMENT IS GETTING SO BAD, THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HAVE TAKEN TO THE STREETS TO VENT THEIR ANGER AND PREPARE FOR THE NEXT REVOLUTION

October 11, 2011

The American people are disgusted and discouraged with the actions of the last to administrations and congress for the last eleven years, because their failure to help the economy and put 15 to 20 million people who lost their jobs back to work with permanent work.

Yes, they were surprised and disappointed, when the republican Bush administration chose to help A.I.G., the financial institutions and the nation's banks out of a mortgage boondoggle they themselves caused by their greed, while cutting the homeowners adrift from help.

The American voter thought they had found a savior in democrat, Barack Obama, when they elected him president on the promises of "can do" and "change" while also giving him a democratic house and senate to help him solve our urgent problems, and also end the two winless wars Bush started in haste at a horrendous cost in lives and money.

Instead, Obama fell into the same groove of helping these same financial institutions with the second half of the nearly trillion dollars bailouts, while unemployment doubled and the economy worsened, his trillion dollar stimulus bill only helped congressmen and city and state administrations keep political appointees on the job, while not one permanent new job was created.  Instead of getting us out of Iraq and Afghanistan, Obama extended the troops presence and added 50,000 more troops in Afghanistan to provide more targets for the Taliban and passed a national health care program no one really understood or can afford, while he also doubled the national debt to more than 14 trillion dollars and handed us a budget shortfall of 1.3 trillion a year.

As a result and in utter disgust, the American people returned to the polls in 2010 and returned the power of the House of Representatives to the Republican Party while also nearly giving republicans control of the senate.

The election of 2010, was a clear message by the American people to congress and Obama, that they wanted the two parties to work together to solve the economic situation and get people back to work and do something about increasing mortgage foreclosure problem which has steadily depressed real estate values for the last five years and kept the construction field from revitalizing.

Instead the republican controlled house has foolishly wasted time trying to repeal an Obama health plan when they don't even have the votes in the senate never mind the certain veto of the president to overcome.  Then any attempt to legislate money bills was stymied by the republican demand that the money be cut from anywhere else in government but the sacred cow the tax cut for 1% of the richest people in the country or without any new taxes to have any national debt reduction.

By June everyone's attention was therefore turned to the federal election of 2012 and the campaign of every congressman and presidential hopeful has consumed both parties in a kill the other political party mode.  Thus the hoped for end of a dysfunctional congress and administration has worsened instead of improving before anything can be meaningfully accomplished in Washington to help the worsening economy and national unemployment.

The American people have now taken to the streets in protest as a last ditch effort to get Washington to help them out of this hopeless situation of a "do nothing congress" before the next national election of 2012.

I can promise you that the American people are not going to re-elect Obama or any congressmen back into office unless in the next twelve months they show definite progress in fixing the economy and putting the people back to work with a definite plan to accomplish this.  They had better hope that if there is a revolution coming in the country, it will be at the polling book as it should be in democracy.  By 2014, if the economy does not improve significantly, you can kiss the two political parties, the democrats and republicans goodbye and Independent candidates will be chosen for office by the American people as they should have since this country "of and by the people" was formed by our forefathers.

Political parties may have their place in backing candidates but the people at large should always choose the candidates for federal office.  Once elected, a person's politics should be left at the door of their office and each successive office holder must realize he/she represents every person in their district, state or country not just the party or people who elected him or her.  The unusual promises of candidates just will not cut it anymore, the people want to hear a plan that makes sense and can be implemented immediately, if not sooner.

REWARD CONGRESS, RE-ELECT NOBODY IN 2012

September 17, 2012

This headline may sound comical, but, in reality, it carries a very serious and necessary message to the American people.  America has been suffering for many years in a serious recession, with high unemployment and, without the needed relief and plans we need to survive today and, in the future.

The American people thought they had found their savior, when Democrat, Barrack H. Obama, and handsome charismatic young man, came onto the scene during the Presidential election of 2008.  After eight disastrous years of Republican President George Bush, who managed to get us into two unending wars, and a costly tax cut for the rich while the economy collapsed from the weight of greedy bankers and the Wall Street financial market.  Coupled with the loss of millions of jobs to foreign countries under free trade agreements they have crippled the American economy, while making China, a communist country, rich.

Most Americans, though they had "fixed" the problem, with the election of President Obama and handing him a congress controlled by Democrats, to get the job done and reverse this trend, end the recession and find permanent jobs for the unemployed Americans, as promised by Obama.

Unfortunately, in less than two years the American people realized they had made a very serious mistake, since the recession deepened, unemployment doubled and democratic president Obama and his Democratic congress, instead came to the aid of the very financial institutions who caused the final economic collapse in the first place, instead of the duped public in the mortgage market, since congress passed laws allowing this debauchery, in 1999.

Of course, you should know that congress and each presidential administration is controlled by Wall Street and the big money business corporations of America by so-called campaign contributions for the continual re-election of member of both parties.

The American public, once again, thought they had solved the problem in 2010, by removing about a third of those "Do Nothing," "self interested" Democrats in congress by replacing them with Republican congressmen.  Soon and unfortunately, it became abundantly clear, they may have changed one political party for another, but the actions of each party is consistently the same.  They are sworn to by a political party, bent on control and winning elections for the interest of the party and their big money supporters.  In this endeavor, they have only one goal, and that is to defeat and destroy the other party.  Just look at what congress has done this past year, not one congressman is working to help the American people find permanent employment for to help the economy.  Both parties are in that re-election mode, and all are running for re-elective office or vying to replace Democrat Obama, with a Republican President.  To do this, they feel they must work very hard at destroying the other party and its candidates and, have no reason to make an opposing incumbent, like Obama, look good in any way, since they must destroy his chances for re-election.  He does not deserve anyway.

In the meantime, the American people are held hostage to any chance that their lot may be improved by any help from congress.  When matters, after about five years of neglect are now desperate, with an economy that is worsening by the day and, a crisis may be looming, with riots in the streets of the United States of America, predicted by many including the Mayor of New York City.

The fault lies with our elected representatives in Washington and with the Republican candidates hoping to unseat Obama next year.  No one has a plan or proposed solutions to our economic problems.  The American people have heard all these campaign promises before.  They want the relief promised and not delivered by Obama and the Democrats and, now promised in the same general way by the republicans, again.  We have two local enemies in our midsts, the Democratic and Republican parties.  Who, we must defeat and destroy, if we expect our country to work for its people.

The American people's frustration has now come to the forefront, since they realize the two political parties and their members are the real problem, and have proved not to be the solution for the last eleven years.  These two opposing administrations have brought this country to its knees with an added, insurmountable debt of about 17 trillion dollars.

It is suggested that it is vital that, we do not re-elect any member of either political party to office in 2012 and, instead, elect non political Independent candidates who promise to represent the American people, exclusively, and no one else.  We need a revolution at the polls not in the streets, it is the help we need and deserve, under our great constitution.  You must take matters in your own hands and, vote!
