THE ARIZONA BOMB SHELL LAW THAT ASKS THE PRESIDENT
JUST WHO
HE REPRESENTS ANYWAY?
April 27, 2010
Dear
president Barack Obama,
As you know the Arizona state legislature, has recently passed legislation that permits police to inquire as to the immigration
status of individuals stopped routinely for any law violation or reasonable suspicion they may have committed a crime.
The reason given by the Arizona
governor for signing this law and plan to enforce it, was, that the United States government has failed over the last twenty
five years, since that last amnesty bill was passed by congress to secure the borders, and, as a result, another twenty million
invaders are estimated to have illegally entered this country, since then. This continuing situation has caused a heavy
burden on state and local law enforcement agencies and their court systems to handle the increases of crimes in bordering
states especially because of the importation of illegal drugs from Mexico into our southern border states. In addition
these illegal immigrants have regularly sought free medical treatment at hospitals who, by law, cannot refuse treatment and
have also sought financial help under, our country's, Medicaid and Welfare systems, the cost of which is shared by the
states of this union. The cost of this huge influx of illegal invaders, have now cost the states even more grief and
expense, because, due to this nation wide recession, these illegal immigrants are competing with American workers in the workplace.
The result is that many Americans find themselves out of work and seeking unemployment benefits which costs the states and
United States government further financial expenses.
The economy is in such dire
straits that cities, towns and states have had a serious problem finding the funds to balance their budgets and after two
years of a deep recession with record unemployment, they are desperate to find ways to cut costs so they and their legal citizens
may survive in this bad economy.
It is obvious that these Border States, such as
California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas have borne the brunt of this invasion of illegal immigration and criminal activity
problems and are suffering the most as a result.
The 1985 Federal laws granting amnesty to all illegal's in this country solved the problem of their status at the time, but
it was not meant to open wide our borders to invite more illegal immigration which unfortunately, it did, the borders were
not secured since then and of themselves, served as a signal for illegal's to enter because someday amnesty would again solve
this illegal immigration problem.
Recent attempts at Federal laws and
appropriations to secure our borders have failed because the last republican administration coupled with big businesses
were using these illegal's as a means of acquiring cheap labor and to weaken our national labor unions.
Your administration, lead by a democratic congress, has been
bent on passing another amnesty law, supposedly as a moral solution to this illegal immigration caused by congress and past
administrations. I believe you and congress have rightly hesitated to do this while the nation's high unemployment
and weak economy exists. You may also have planned to push for an amnesty bill just before the congressional elections
this November to bolster democratic popularity and chances of victory at the polls.
However, by failing, in the last fifteen months of your administration, to seal the borders as you have a legal obligation
to do, and to round up the illegal's that continue to flood across our borders, almost at will, you have alienated those states
and American citizens who have been forced to suffer the continued consequence of the government failure purposely fulfill
its obligations.
At the same time, illegal immigrants have been emboldened by this government's inaction and known intentions to pass amnesty
law to help these illegal aliens. This has continued to encourage more illegal's to cross illegally into the United
States and a steady influx has resulted.
I was surprised to see and hear of your stated disagreement with the Arizona's governor's intention to stop this influx
of illegal's into her state more as a last resort to help save her state since your administration has failed to act.
As a lawyer for 50 years and acutely aware of your experience as a constitutional law professor, I need not instruct you in
these laws, or their legality. As long as a police stop is conducted after a probable cause that a law has been
broken or there is a reasonable suspicion that it has or is about to be committed, an officer has the right to stop a person
and subsequently make reasonable inquires as to that person's identity, address and status. Of course, under
the 5th amendment to the U. S. Constitution, all persons accused of a crime have a right not to testify or speak
against themselves. Therefore all accused need not answer any question that might tend to incriminate them, especially
if they are illegal. The question of the legality of this new Arizona law most certainly will be tested by someone and
in due time its legality determined.
However for you to personally and publicly criticize this law and chastise the governor for signing it while having your director
of homeland security, Janet Napolitano, state publically that, "our borders are as safe as they ever have been,"
is a hollow statement which may mean that our borders have never been safe as most Americans believe. When your attorney
general Eric holder, had the tenacity to say," this (Arizona) law is definitely unconstitutional makes you and your administration's
position crystal clear. That you choose to take the side of and protect those illegal invaders presently
in the United States over the rights and wishes of the majority of the American people, while abandoning your duty to enforce
the immigration laws and protect the American people, their property and preference for jobs at this crucial time of unemployment.
If you and the congress, continue on this misguided course, just to win favor with the illegal's, you are throwing away the
faith and trust the electorate have placed in you as their president, forever.
In the end the choice is yours and yours alone, who do you represent, the
American people whose wrath will be felt at the polls this November or the 20 million illegal's invaders squatting here?

THE BANK REFORM BILL AS PROPOSED BY PRESIDENT
OBAMA
April 18, 2010
This week, president Obama announced his plan to reform
bank practices to prevent a repeat of the need for bank bailouts in the future, by giving the US government absolute power
to shut them down at its whim whenever the government deems it necessary.
All this sounds like it is protecting the depositors money when, in fact, their
money is already protected up to $250,000 per depositors in the first place.
The government's effort then, it must be said, is a move to protect the government
treasury from the usual repeated abuse, which has been repeatedly happening since the savings and loan scandals of the 1980's
and continuing until the 2008 bailout by president Bush with the backing of presidential candidates, Obama and McCain.
However, this proposal by, now president
Obama, is nothing but an attempt by government to take over and control of the banking industry much like the auto industry
bailout during the first few months of the Obama administration. The government handed General Motor and Chrysler billions
of dollars in loans while insisting they submit to control by the government with company stock and conditions that have strapped
these industries to the point they must give the money back to survive. This is now being repeated by the big financial
institutions that were bailed out by the government with the same controls and conditions.
When political and philosophical opponents cry "socialism"
they are correct because this has been the pattern displayed by Obama with the aid of congress for the last
fifteen months.
Our country
was founded under the principal of the free enterprise system of business and the survival of the fittest, it is okay for
the government, when and when necessary, to place limits and controls over business to protect the consumer, investor
and the us a treasury, but they must be prudent and necessary. Banks, are therefore in the unique business of having
their depositors money guaranteed in all events by the US government since the 1930's to insure depositors of the safety to
place their money into circulation so banks could loan money out to finance the purchase of homes and to give loans to individuals
and businessman alike after the 1929 stock market crash and the resulting depression.
It seems, over the years' bank managers in their greedy quest to make more and more money have taken unreasonable risks with
their depositor's money knowing the depositor's were protected by the federal FDIC guarantees along with those of the veterans,
FHA and Fanny Mae and Freddy Mack loans also guaranteed by the US Treasury.
The first hint that something was asque was the savings and loan fiascos of the mid eighties. Which cost the US Treasury
billions of dollars to cover these guarantees from defaulting loans and banks however; even then the congress and the Regan
administrations did nothing to prevent this from happening again.
As a result, some banks and lending
institutions were given encouragement by this lack of reform then, to continue on their course to greedily grant loans they
should not have approved or granted, knowing the government guarantees would kick in, in the final analysis and the depositors
would be protected. All these bankers were making big salaries and money on private investments with friends and relatives,
alike.
The bubble finally burst when
the abusive mortgage industry practices, kicked up the artificial demand and prices of real estate in the eighties nineties
and early years of the twenty first century. The bubble burst because of the layoffs of workers whose jobs were lost
to labor competition from the free market countries like china, Japan and Mexico under NAFTA and CAFTA, since the mid eighties.
When you add the unfair and uncontrolled rise in prices for heating oil and gasoline in the last ten years with the resulting
rise in prices for goods across the board all this was a prescription for the disaster that has resulted.
Of course, there are more prudent and sure ways to protect
the consumer and people's bank deposits and that is simply to limit the F D I C guarantees to about 50% of the deposits while
the banks must guarantee the remaining 50%, for example, but this administration wants more threats of control over banks
so they play footsies with congress and the president by way of contributions to their political coffers.
This is just the same result as the reform of the current health
care bill which puts the pressure; on doctors, hospitals and care givers, to make more substantial political contributions
to the politicians in power to stave off strict controls to the more favored and generous political contributors. It
is politics as usual, in Washington, as it has been for the incumbents in office putting the squeeze on the
big money companies and to hell with the need of American people. The time has come
for the American people to vote out every incumbent to break this stranglehold on our country, by
our controlling politicians.

THE CATHOLIC CHURCH'S PROBLEM
AN OPEN LETTER TO POPE BENEDICT
Written on: April 3, 2010
Dear Pope Benedict,
For the last fifty years our Catholic Churches have been rocked with one sex scandal after another concerning the actions
of hundreds of Catholic Priests, in many parishes and Archdioceses in most every country in this world.
As an eighty six year old, married Catholic man, I was
personally shocked and embarrassed to first hear of these shameful accusations of Priests seeking sexual gratification in
unnatural and illegal ways, especially with young and adult members of their congregation. I can understand the existance
of homosexuality in our society, but not of pedophilia, because it affects innocent young children who should be protected
and helped, not hurt and traumatized by such actions, especially by a Priest, to whom we have all looked up to for guidance
in our religion and daily lives.
Homosexuality has always been wrongly condemned by all religions of the world and its practice damned. Pedophilia is
one of the most serious and shocking sexual crimes ever committed against children and is banned and prosecuted legally in
every civil society, worldwide. In addition, rape, fornication and adultery have also been condemned by every religion
and prosecuted and punished severely by every civil society in the world for centuries.
Yet, every day we hear about people who are accused, found guilty and punished for these sex crimes. At the same time,
these perpetrators are and have been made personally liable for damages, civilly and their victims paid monetary damages.
Rather than any other form of retribution that may have been inflicted by society.
But when the Catholic church, or anyone else, combines with these perpetrators
to aid in the commission of these hideous sex crimes or deliberately aids in their continued commission by said perpetrators
by allowing others to be exposed to these sexual crimes, knowing their propensity to commit such acts, society has laws in
place to punish both the perpetrator and the persons who knowingly allow such acts to continue both criminally and civilly.
Such is the situation in the Catholic church today, for fifty years or more, Catholic Priests have committed these crimes
and criminal acts and when these crimes are discovered by the Catholic church hierarchy, instead of letting the laws of society
take their course by allowing laws to attempt to punish the Priest- perpetrator, the Catholic church has consistently,
attempted to gloss over the crime by silencing the victim with money and/or moving the perpetrator to another church parish
or post thereby allowing him the opportunity to recommit these sexual crimes over and over again. Therefore, the church,
by its own actions have allowed said sexual crimes to continue unabated while exposing the church itself to civil liability
for the damages that foreseeable have resulted from their own acts of attempting to shield guilty Priests from responsibility.
One might wonder, now that we know what the church's
responsibility in these matters, is, the question is, why the church even attempted to cover up these sex crimes in the first
place only to leave themselves exposed to civil liability for the future acts of these Priests?
In search of answers to this question, one might think of the old
adage, "Honor amongst thieves." But of course the church and Priests are not thieves, but the analogy may
apply to them in the lesson meant by the adage, itself. It must be remembered that Priests are looked upon as a reflection
of our Heavenly Father. They cannot do wrong and are always virtuous, kind, generous and knowing
of all things. They are sworn to a life of celibacy, married to God and the church, only. With such a responsibility
and dressed in such a cloak of honor and integrity, the church is obviously prone not to allow even a hint of
suspicion or doubt about this august standing of Priests far above that of the congregation or the Catholic flock.
That is the obvious reason for the church's action in hiding these defects, which dwell in all of us as humans,
but are held back by the discipline and teachings of the church and society. We are all humans, in spite one's high
positions and esteem and we are all prone to make these mistakes when lust, greed, and our vow of abstinence is overpowered
with our human sexual desires when aroused. This is more pronounced in Priests, chiefly because of their vows of celibacy
and when relief and gratification is forbidden. As a result, this is overcome by some Priests with liaisons with women (the
opposite sex) as a means of relief from their obvious inability to keep their vows due to that natural sexual urge that God
put in our bodies for the purpose of propagation. These acts of fornication or adultery seldom come
to light because of the consent and mutuality of these encounters. These are considered harmless and non criminal when
committed by consenting adults and almost understandable and forgivable to most persons.
Homosexuality is another problem, principly because most religions
have made it so by universal damnation by all religions. However, it is a well known fact that homosexuality
is a genetic defect of the body, over which the afflicted have not the least control. The result is that homosexuality
is a sexual attraction of one male to another male, just as lesbians are women attracted to other women.
Many homosexuals are naturally attracted to groups containing
men like the Priesthood and it is this attraction that contributes to their exposure when they stray away from their brethren
and commit these acts with members of the congregation. Since homosexuality had become common place in the Priesthood
there is a natural tendency for one Priest to protect the others as brethren and homosexuals. I personally, do not believe
this situation will change too much, if, for example, Priests were allowed to marry, but it is a certainty that the sexual
urge may be satisfied somewhat if they were allowed to do so even though the attraction to men may not be substituted by homosexuals.
Of course so called straight men, relieved of the vow of celibacy would finally have their sexual arousements and needs satisfied
by marriage.
This leaves the
question of pedophiles to be addressed. They have no place in the Priesthood or the church and for that matter anywhere
in society. I know of no one that was ever cured of this very serious problem and the tragedy is that some Priests have
been guilty of molesting young boys and that is pedophilia. There is absolutely no excuse for any church or anyone to
either condone these acts or to fail to act, so they do not happen again.
Instead of trying to cover up these illegal and improper sexual acts, if the Catholic
Church had acted and rid themselves of these errant Priests, they would not be subject to law suits for keeping them in the
Priesthood. As a result they now must suffer the consequences of their acts as found by the courts.
With the resulting shortage of Priests and the dwindling
Catholic Church support and attendance, it is time for the Catholic Church to review its decision not to allow women into
the Priesthood, or Priests to marry. Women today are equals and it is time for the Catholic Church to recognize their
equality in their churches.
It is
now urgent for the Catholic Church to act to correct its mistakes and return to its past appeal to the masses, or it will
soon perish.
