MEMORIAL DAY IS PERSONAL TO EACH OF US Each Memorial day, we remember and honor those people
who have predeceased us in life. Usually we pay our respects at the cemetery of our loved ones like grandma or grandpa
who were so nice and loving to us while we may have been too young to realize how much they really had contributed to our
folks and family. Our folks may be buried there, also, a final resting place for those tired, loving people who fretted
and did so much for us and whom we never really realized how much they sacrificed and did without for us, their children,
family and country. All we can do now is
to bring flowers, signifying life, to the grave on this day, set aside for remembrance of them. As we pause for a moment
at the grave site, in silent prayer, we think of how much more we could have done for them but didn't and how much we miss
these loving people, their words of encouragement, even, that twenty dollar bill stuffed in our hand so many times just to
make us and them feel good and caring, as we left after a brief visit to "grandma's home." Oh! If only
they were still alive so we can really express our gratitude and true love for them just one more time. But, it is too
late, and we realize those are the words and deeds that must be expressed during their lives.
Maybe, if they passed on while you were estranged, or not on the best of terms with them, for something you now realize was
your fault, you wish you could tell them how sorry you are and, maybe, that you were not there for them, and how frustrated
and angry you feel about that error you made. Then you realize all you can do now is say you are sorry
in private and promise to be a better person to those still living until you meet them again in heaven. As you walk or ride around the cemetery in nostalgic
memory, you see the fluttering American flags and white markers in the large veterans section, of that resting place and think
of those men and women, some of whom you served with, who died then or since and you pause and bow your head in respect of
them who gave their lives, as the ultimate sacrifice, so we may live in peace and safety today. At the same time you
think how fortunate you were to have survived to return home to your loved ones. You think sympathetically of
the many wounded servicemen returning from the war wounded both physically and mentally and scarred for life, but not broken
in spirit. Because they are the living American heroes our heart cries out for them and their quick recovery.
You think also of the obvious valuable contributions and sacrifices of their families who have served their country in their
own private way. You think of every one buried at this place and every
other cemetery, for their families and country and realize how important we all are to each other. Whether they
were relatives, friends, neighbors or countrymen, they each made their contributions as best they could the weak and
the strong, whether rich or poor, it did not matter, as long as they cared for someone during their lives, they made that
contribution to make us and this country stronger.
Each town, city, state and our nation, celebrate this Memorial Day with parades, fanfare and speeches of appreciation.
It is our open tribute and dedication, in mindfulness respect to those that have predeceased us and our thankfulness for their
valuable contributions to us and this great country and its people. If we could only keep their unselfish contributions and sacrifices in our minds year
round, we would never be tempted away or forget our loyalty and love for our brothers and sisters in our family and country,
this wonderful home of freedom, we are privileged to live in citizenship with each other. "God Bless America and the American people." Originally posted: May 25, 2009

WAKE UP AMERICA; IT IS ALMOST TOO LATE TO SAVE YOUR COUNTRY May 21, 2011 I am writing
this article in case the world does not end today at about 6:00 pm, and we need not worry about our future and that of our
country. But, in the event those soothsayers are wrong again, as in the past, this is a real urgent message
to the American people. Our
government is supposed to be, "of the people, by the people and for the people," but, for too many years now we
have left the operation of our government to our elected officials, sometimes democrats and the other times republicans, only
to be disappointed in both, no matter who we put in charge. It is also true, that our elected officials have been reduced
party members who vote in lockstep under the control of their political party, who for too many years has really run this
country. Whereas, when
once elected, our representatives are bound by law to represent the needs of all the people in their district, state, or nation,
they are, instead committed to their political party and its philosophy and to their supporters, in the operation of our government,
contrary to the U. S. Constitution and the interests and need of the American people. There is nothing wrong to believe in the principles and plans of
one political party over another, and it certainly is right to vote for the person of your choice at each election, but that
person elected is duty bound to serve all the people in their area, those that helped elect them, those that did not, along
with those that stayed home and did not vote at all. In other words, to be loyal to your constituents, an elected representative
must do the bidding of the majority and no one else. It is bad enough that a large political contribution to those representatives
over the years has seriously questioned their independence when voting or acting in a government capacity. Political contributions therefore should always be small enough not
to question the motivations of a representative to our government, in that regard. For too many years now, congress and repeated administrations have been
embroiled in political antagonism between the political parties to the point; important legislation is stalled in congress
while the people are left to suffer from this inaction and constant bickering. That is the very reason; the American people chose a democratic administration and congress
in 2008 after eight years of republican control, when the country found itself in a deep economic recession with high unemployment.
Unfortunately the promises of the democrats were found to be mere campaign rhetoric, because the recession, debt and unemployment
deepened to the point. The American people showed their disappointment and disgust by returning a republican house of
representatives to Washington after two short years. Each action and change was not by acclaim but by default, since
the American people have been desperately seeking solutions to these problems in this country that our own government leaders
have caused, but consistently fail to solve. When the republican majority was returned to the house of congress,
six months ago, it was a clear message to demand they fix the economy and put the unemployed back to work in permanent jobs.
Instead they have wasted time trying to vote out the Obama health plan, a good but impossible and futile cause. Next,
they turned their attention to the annual government budget, already a trillion and half over income, another worthy but impossible
task, since the U. S. senate and administration are controlled by democrats. Even so, their plan to reduce expenditure
will not balance the budget for twelve years, while our national debt will rise to more than 20 trillion dollars. No one, neither democrats nor republicans, have
a plan to put the unemployed back to work, so that admittedly the economy will recover and the government and cities and towns
will recover the revenue lost from the unemployment situation. Instead, the republicans favor fewer taxes for the rich,
while the democrats favor social programs to help the unemployed and the masses which are temporary and fail to provide the
needed permanent jobs. Both parties
and their members are so beholden to big business and the insurance, oil and drug companies from huge political contributions
that they do nothing but turn down votes to reduce tax incentives to the oil companies, who are ripping off the American public
with high prices and huge profits. Oil companies and OPEC have held U. S. prisoners for nearly fifty years
and our leaders still fail to come up with a plan for alternative renewable energy while our backs are to the wall daily,
drugs are allowed to sell for twice the price they can be bought overseas, and no one wants to stop the free trade policy
of the U. S. A. which is making communist China, a potential enemy rich while draining our country of our needed industries.
If the American people are waiting for the economic relief they need from either party, they should realize it will not come
from these entrenched politicians of both parties in Washington. If they expect to solve the myriad of crucial problems
facing Americans and the U.S. government, they must first get rid of that "gang of entrenched thieves" in Washington,
DC. As an example, the "gang of six" a bipartisan group of senators has for six months been unable to agree
on any budget cuts, because everything in Washington is political. Americans must wake up and realize they need to turn to new faces in their leadership in
government all across the board, without exception, if they expect the help they sorely deserve and critically need at this
time. It is time to turn away from the democrat or republican parties and it's paid off members who think they need
money to get elected.
Good, sincere independent candidates, who are not beholden to anyone but the American people, they represent must be
elected in 2012, if the American people expect this country to be saved from total financial and economic ruin, and the way
of life we have enjoyed since the American revolution. Independent candidates do not need one cent of political contributions
to be recognized and elected to office, if they have the crucial vote of most Americans at the polls in November 2012.
The American public, on their part, must take the time to seek out and support these independent candidates, if they expect
to save our country from bankruptcy and lose the democracy we have enjoyed since 1776. The American people have proven
they can overcome every obstacle to their freedom thrown in their paths over the years and they can do it again, if, they
will only rise up and take the necessary action at the polls that is vitally needed at this time. Please take the time to think this all out, before we lose everything
we have cherished in this country, and fought and died for. Sincerely
yours, Joseph and Rose Marino p.s. if you
agree with this message, please move it along to friends and relatives.

NEWT HYPOCRITE GINGRICH
May 18, 2011
Over the years, many good, qualified candidates have run for the highest office in the land, that of the president of the
United States. Some were experienced congressmen, governors and mayors of famous cities, like New York, with a population
larger than some states. All were held in high esteem for their public service and well qualified to represent the people
of the United States. Some, like Ross Perot, had never held public office before, but were successful businessmen who
ran for office because, many American people were tired of the failure of their public office holders, to solve national problems
and adequately represent the American people. However, none had the admitted badge of hypocrisy, emblazoned
on his face and as recognizable, as Newt Gingrich, the former speaker of the United States House of Representatives, from
Georgia. Whom admitted an adulterous affair while leading the legal impeachment charge of a sitting president of the
United States, while, he himself, was guilty of the same offense.
This was the height of hypocrisy never before or since seen in the operation of our government. Webster's dictionary
defines the term hypocrisy
as the pretending to have beliefs, opinions, virtues, feelings, qualities, or standards that one does not actually have.
Newt, knew this when the question of impeachment arose, regarding the relationship of president Clinton toward Monica
Lewinsky and, as a result, should have disqualified himself from those proceedings, instead of leading the charge
against the then sitting president, as the speaker. Of course, it was easier for him to proceed hypocritically and dishonestly
rather than admit the wrongdoing himself. The fact remains, that he was subsequently exposed as the dishonest, distrusting
person he really was and is to this day, since he hid this fact from his wife, family and the nation he represented, dishonestly
at the time. All this, in addition to the violation of his marriage vows twice, which put a permanent scar on the lives
of his children, he abandoned in the process. The woman he is presently married to was the interloper who stole Newt
from his second wife, but it is said she stole nothing, but a bag of trash. She has a one half million dollar jewelry
bill at Tiffany's in NY. So they are not suffering financially like us Americans today. This,
excuse for a man, is also a liar, cheat and fraud, lacks morals, is notoriously untrustworthy, a phony and disgrace to the
human race. If the Republican Party cannot do better than Newt, the hypocrite, to nominate him as their presidential
candidate, then the Republican Party and its voters can be viewed as of the same caliber. The Republican Party should
be the first to repel and complain about this charlatan and publically chastises and reject his candidate, before they themselves
are judged accordingly. This phony person has the gall to seek the highest office in the land while
representing the worse traits that can be attributed to a man in wolf's clothing. His actions were bad enough, but he continues to spew diarrhea from the
wrong end of his torso, to the point he is alienating the very people he hopes will endorse his candidacy and he will destroy
himself as quick as he has destroyed his family and self respect.
Any person, who would vote
for him, must be classified as a champion of his indiscretions and a carbon copy of what is wrong in this country. My advice to him is to crawl back under
that rock from where he came, and stay there.

Enough is Enough, of this Price Gouging by our Oil Companies April 30, 2011
There is no legitimate reason for the rise of fuel oil and gasoline prices in the U.S. for the last four months. Yet,
our domestic oil companies have, again, tested the will of the American people, as they have in the past, to put up with their
gouging high prices and huge profits. Oil companies will continue to do the same until and unless the American government
and the American people stand up and act against this shameful practice, especially in this fragile economy. Our government leaders
have done nothing to stop this price fixing practice and control gasoline and fuel oil prices, since the OPEC oil embargo
of 1972, nearly fifty years ago. Even today, we hear of no plan to give the American public relief by demanding that
prices by reduced to two dollars a gallon or congress should immediately impose prices controls, retroactively. Unless our congress
and our president act to lower these prices immediately, then it is suggested that the American people must rise up and act
of their own behalf, if they expect prices to return to a reasonable level for both the producers and consumers. We must immediately
give notice to our political leaders in Washington and to the domestic oil companies, that unless they reduce their prices
of these fuels by July 1, 2011, then the American people should park their vehicles and stay home
until the prices are reduced voluntarily or by the action of our government. The time has come for the American people to control their
own destiny and stop the actions and inactions of their representatives in Washington in accepting money from the lobbyists
of these oil companies to do their bidding instead of the interests of the American people. Enough is enough!
It is a shame that this drastic action is necessary. To correct a comprehensive plan for alternative energy to rid us of our
dependence on oil, once and for all time in the very near future.
Please pass this message on to twenty of your friends and relatives. In order to insure the relief you are entitled
to.

MOTHER'S DAY AND THE MIRACLE OF BIRTH
It is both fitting and proper for each of us to commemorate a particular day every year to pay tribute to our mothers.
That is not to say, we should not recognize our mothers' value every day, because we should. To set aside one particular
day each year, by national decree, only gives said recognition the national attention befitting of all mothers. Everyone has only one mother, whose identity is a matter
of certainty, while many children spend a lifetime seeking out the identity of their fathers, a matter of speculation, at
times. Except for the recent innovation
of artificial insemination, traditionally fathers were required to be present and put to the laborious, but pleasant task,
to start the process of conception which culminates, after about nine months in the miracle of birth, a child, genetically
connected to its parents. It is a mother's
love and her body that transforms this act into human reproduction. It is this same love and dedication that cares for
every child after birth for the many years through infancy adolescence to adulthood and sometimes, beyond. The umbilical cord, connecting the mother and the nurturing
child, during its development in the womb, is physically cut at birth, but the close emotional bond between them remains throughout
their lives. At birth, the child is small,
frail and helpless, but for the love, protection and care of its mother. It is she, who nurtures the child after birth
as she did before birth. It is her love, devotion and dedication that insure the child's good health and survival during
those early, critical years. Neither
God, science nor nature has devised a way for the male person to become pregnant as does women to perform the miracle of birth. It is a mother who dedicates her whole life to her children,
their birth and upbringing, while the father's responsibility is. To be the provider, by working away from the home
for most of the day when he arrives home after work, however, he may be pressed into service by the overwhelmed mother and
wife. Fathers are usually relegated
to secondary and temporary positions by substituting for the mother at a time of need and the rare absence of the mother.
Mothers need not prove their love
to their children; they have already done that by the time their children grow up. All the mother needs at this time
is a little sign of reciprocal love from her children. It is mother who must take the children to school, children to
sports and activities. When she needs to shop or run errands, she must bundle up the children and take them with her,
most everywhere. She does this, day after day without complaint and usually proud to show off her talented and beautiful
children. Sometimes a mother is required to mother her husband to make him feel wanted and loved having
been relegated to a secondary position of attention. Some fathers have difficulty adjusting when children come
into the family and he is no longer the center of attention.
Nowadays, the task and challenges to a mother are magnified by society. Our present standard of living causes
most mothers to work outside the home to help with the family's finances. As a result the mother is required to juggle
between duties and responsibilities to her children and those of her workplace. Somehow, these mothers manage to perform
these extra duties, without any noticeable loss to the family while inwardly mothers sense a void within, when they leave
their children and go to work each day.
Mothers are and have always been the first love of every child. Eventually a child's attention may
be diverted to many other people male or female. Children marry and make their own lives and families with the mate
of their choice in marriage, but their love of their mother remains connected and indestructible, forever. Therefore, we should make each day, Mother's Day, by remembering
our mother's dedicated role in our lives, their love, care, sacrifice and guidance, without which we would not have been the
offspring we have become.
Mothers are always proud of their children in whatever endeavor they choose, while children are always proud of their mothers
for their proven endeavor as mothers.
And so it is to all you deserving mother's that we wish you a very happy, happy Mother's Day today and always.
